| Valbantel is an oral anthelmintic for sheep and goats, providing broad-spectrum protection against various worms and residual defense against wireworm and hookworm re-infestation. Its suspension form should be shaken well before use, and the recommended dosage is 2 ml per 10 kg of body weight.
Composition: Albendazole 1.9% m/v; Closantel sodium 3% m/v
Indications include treatment for roundworm, lungworm, milk tapeworm, liver fluke, and nasal worm in sheep and goats, with residual protection against wireworm and hookworm re-infestation. It also prevents roundworm eggs from hatching.
Warnings:
Allow 30 days between the last dose and slaughter for human consumption.
Avoid using in milk goats if their milk is for human consumption.
Handle with care and keep out of reach of children and animals.
Ensure drenching procedures are carried out carefully.
Avoid exceeding the recommended dosage in ewes during mating or the first month of pregnancy.
Prevent contamination of food and utensils; wash hands thoroughly after use.
Do not repeat treatments more frequently than every 3 weeks.
Prioritize vaccinating animals against pulpy kidney disease before dosing with any worm remedy.
